New theater dept. at Three Rivers to hold open auditions

POPLAR BLUFF, MO (KFVS) - The new theater department at Three Rivers College will host open auditions in August for its first play.

The department needs five male and five female performers to play a variety of roles in the play, "...And I Stood Still."

The play was written by the new Three Rivers theater director Tim Thompson and follows the reaction of the American public after the September 11 terrorist attacks.

Auditions will be August 2 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Tinnin Fine Arts Center auditorium. They are open to all community members and attendees will be asked to fill out an audition sheet and read from a script.

The play will be performed on September 10 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of 9/11.

For more information, you can call Thompson at 573-840-9648.
