Southern Bank in top 100 community banks for 2010 | Business

BUTLER COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - SNL Financial has named Southern Bank in their top 100 community banks of 2010.
The bank's 2010 performance was second among all publicly-traded community banks in the U.S. and was ranked 13th in all publicly and privately owned community banks.
Southern Bank was picked based on things like its profitability, asset quality, efficiency and loan growth.
"We had a great year," Southern Bank's President and CEO Greg Steffens said. "It's nice to have this recognition of that fact, and I congratulate our terrific employees on the results of their hardwork."
At Dec. 31, 2010, Southern Bank reported assets of $690 million. Southern Bank is a subsidiary of Southern Missouri Bancorp.
