Poplar Bluff Area Homeless Coalition Outreach hosts Veterans Stand Down | Events
POPLAR BLUFF, MO (KFVS) - A community-wide partnership to benefit homeless or at-risk for homeless individuals returns to Poplar Bluff this week.
Dozens of volunteers and community organizations are preparing for the third annual Poplar Bluff Area Homeless Coalition Outreach and Veteran Stand Down.
All citizens in the area who are at risk for being homeless are invited to attend the event, which will take place at the Black River Coliseum on September 26, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
The Black River Coliseum is located at 301 S. 5th St. Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
The goal of the Poplar Bluff Area Homeless Coalition Outreach and Veterans Stand Down is to be a "one-day, one-stop shop" event providing services and resources to people who are at risk for being homeless.
Resources and services include: housing, employment and educational opportunities, health care services and screenings, personal care services, clothing, food, transportation and utility assistance applications.
