Cape Girardeau hospital forms partership in Poplar Bluff | Health

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - SoutheastHEALTH based in Cape Girardeau has formed a new partnership in Poplar Bluff.

SoutheastHEALTH officials say the hospital has partnered with Advanced Healthcare Management Services, LLC, based in Poplar Bluff effective January 1, 2013.

SoutheastHEALTH has agreed to buy all of the physical assets and assumed management responsibilities for Advanced’s entities which include Advanced Healthcare Medical Center in Ellington, rural healthcare clinics in Ellington, Poplar Bluff, Doniphan and Van Buren, and a 35,000 square foot medical office building housing several practices in Poplar Bluff.

They will also take over a home health agency based in Ellington that serves Reynolds, Ripley, Shannon and Butler counties and portions of Dent, Iron, Madison, Wayne and Carter counties.

“We’re very pleased with the partnership,” Harris said. “Area residents will be assured of an ongoing continuum of care and we are working together to develop plans for enhancements in healthcare in the communities we serve.”
