CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS)- The combination of snow and ice is making it more difficult for Missouri Department of Transportation crews to keep the roads clear. Drifting snow could be an issue in some locations. Continued precipitation plays a factor as well. It would help crews if travelers could give them plenty of room to work on the road, according to a MoDOT spokesperson.
Ameren Missouri has deployed approximately 500 workers to southeast Missouri for the winter storm that hit the Heartland beginning Thursday afternoon.
