Three Rivers to hold wall-breaking ceremony for renovations

POPLAR BLUFF, MO (KFVS) - Three Rivers College will host a public wall-breaking ceremony to commemorate the beginning of the renovations to its Academic Resource Commons and Rutland Library.

The ceremony will start at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 19, inside the ARC on the Three Rivers campus in Poplar Bluff.  Current and former students, employees, community members and the media are encouraged to attend.

At the June board meeting, the Three Rivers Board of Trustees awarded the $2.2 million renovation contract to low bidder C.A. Walker Construction in Dexter.

According to Three Rivers, the ARC currently includes the Rutland Library and the Public Computing Center. The renovated ARC will also house all academic assistance programs, with spaces for tutoring, Student Support Services, the TRiO program, study rooms and more.
