Police chase ends in mobile home damage, serious injuries

POPLAR BLUFF, MO (KFVS)- A police chase in Poplar Bluff, Mo. on Wednesday night ended with damage to a mobile home and serious injuries.

According to the Mo. State Highway Patrol, police were in pursuit of a truck driven by Benjamin Hillis, 30, of Poplar Bluff. 

At one point during the chase, Hillis didn't stop at a stop sign and ran off the road. The car then struck a tree, a second car and a mobile home at 4681 County Road, just south of Poplar Bluff. 

A tool box from Hillis' vehicle came off his truck during the crash and struck a third car. 

Hillis was flown to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo. with serious injuries.
