Three Rivers board approves FY '13 budget | Schools
POPLAR BLUFF, MO (KFVS) - The Three Rivers Community College fiscal year 2013 budget has been approved by it's board.
It was approved by the board on June 26.
According to the college, total revenues and expenditures equal $22,932,370, with 50% of revenue coming from tuition and student fees.
“The impact of this reduction in state funds will be compounded because Three Rivers continues to experience record enrollment,” said college president Dr. Devin Stephenson. “Enrollment for spring 2012 was up 16 percent over the fall semester to more than 4,300 students.”
Based on early registration numbers, student headcount is already showing a 22.3% increase over this time last year, according to the school.
Fiscal year 2013, which will begin on July 1, 2012, will be the third year in a row in which higher education spending will be cut statewide.
