POPLAR BLUFF, MO (KFVS) - The power, beauty, and grace of Irish music and dance will light up the stage as “Celtic Nights” brings a glittering production featuring six of Ireland's most accomplished dancers and six of its finest voices to the Tinnin Center in Poplar Bluff at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 28.

According to Three Rivers College, tickets are $10 each and are available online at trcc.edu/tinnin, at the Poplar Bluff Chamber of Commerce, Dexter Chamber of Commerce, the college Financial Services office and at the door.

Celtic Nights is a touring production that originated in Ireland. It celebrates Irish history and culture, chronicling the spread of the immigrants out of Ireland and into the New World. The show’s 12 singers and dancers will perform a wide variety of Celtic and Celtic-inspired music and dance, showcasing Ireland’s influence on American traditional music like bluegrass, folk, and country. After the performance, the audience will have the opportunity to meet the performers.

“The show captures the essence of a great people, and a rich history,” said Bob Cook, Director of the Tinnin Center. “Between the stunning choreography and the complex harmonies of the music, I think that anyone who comes out to the show will be thoroughly entertained.”

Celtic Nights is made possible through the sponsorship of the Patrons of the Arts Society. The Society is a non-profit organization that raises funds to bring quality live performances to Southeast Missouri through Three Rivers College.
